The end goal is to have a system that will take an input stack of MTG cards, scan them, inventory them, place them on a display wall, and retrieve them as needed. The display wall will have sufficient size to display the current active set or block (TBD). Once a set is concluded the system will pull the cards from the wall and place them in an as-yet undetermined method of storage. Ideally that would be sleeved binders but we will see.
The goal is to make a functional telepresence Gundam. The head was modeled to have a 65mm interpupillary distance, the same as the average human. With that I could place cameras in the eyes, feed those into a VR headset, and feed the VR headset position back to the servos on the Gundam head. Once the head is in a functional state, the next step would be either an arm or the neck and proceeding piece by piece from there.
The head was modeled, printed, and assembled. The difficulty is in finding appropriate cameras to serve as the eyes, a method to mount them, and the software to feed them to a VR headset while conforming to the requirements of stereo vision.
